Bodman Castle, also known as Neu-Bodman or New Castle, is an impressive complex in Bodman-Ludwigshafen, Baden-Württemberg. It is situated in the eastern part of the village and represents a striking example of the Weinbrenner style.

History+

The origins of the castle date back to 1757, when the first building was erected on this site. As early as 1760, the noble family of the Counts of Bodman moved into the estate, relocating their seat from Espasingen Castle. The castle's current appearance is due to a reconstruction between 1831 and 1832, carried out under the direction of Johann Baptist Wehrle. In the early 20th century, specifically between 1907 and 1909, an expansion was undertaken by Emanuel von Seidl, who added the southeast and southwest wings.
