The earliest mention of Boudry Castle dates back to 1278. The oldest surviving parts of the castle, located west of the market town, originate from the 14th century. The building underwent numerous alterations and additions, which shaped its current appearance. A comprehensive renovation was last carried out between 1955 and 1957.
