The origins of Brandstätt Castle date back to the 16th century, when it was first constructed. During the Thirty Years' War, the castle suffered destruction but was rebuilt in 1666 and restored to its current form.

Brandstätt Castle is located in the village of Brandstätt in the district of Rosenheim, which belongs to the federal state of Bavaria in Germany. It stands at an elevation of approximately 493 meters above sea level.

Today, Brandstätt Castle is privately owned and not accessible to the public.
