History+

The origins of the site date back to 1298, when, after the Battle of Jammertal, the nearby castle of the Barons of Bremgarten was destroyed by the Bernese. In 1306, the Lords of Bremgarten sold their dominion to the Johanniterhaus Münchenbuchsee, which managed the property until its secularization in 1528.
