Brincke Castle
Brincke Castle is a former moated castle in Borgholzhausen in the district of Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is privately owned.
Brincke Castle was built in the 13th century and first mentioned in 1351. The builders were the Lords of Brincke. Since 1439, it has been owned by the von Kerssenbrock family. From 1674 to 1675, an expansion took place; among other things, the manor house was rebuilt. From 1897 to 1898, a further expansion took place.
Architectural Description+
The manor house was built in the 17th century and is surrounded by a double moat. The outbuildings include the farm buildings, the courtyard house, and the Neo-Romanesque chapel.
