Brombach Castle
In Brombach, a district of Lörrach, stands Brombach Castle, a historicizing-style reconstruction of a medieval castle complex. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 317 meters above sea level and currently serves as the town hall.
History+
The first documented mention of a Brombach castle dates back to 1294. In 1678, the original castle complex was destroyed by French troops. Between 1880 and 1885, it was rebuilt in a historicizing style. Since 1962, the castle has been owned by the municipality and, after renovations, is now used as the town hall.
