In Olsberg-Bruchhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, lies Bruchhausen Castle, a noble residence in the Hochsauerland district. The complex is located at approximately 448 meters above sea level and shows preserved architecture of an originally fortified structure.

History+

Originally, the estate was owned by the Lords of Bruchhausen. In the 15th century, the castle passed into the possession of the Gaugreben family. Around 1550, a castle complex was added to an existing residential tower from the 14th century and continuously expanded in the following centuries.
