Bruckberg Castle

The origin of the castle is obscure. During the time of Henry the Lion (1156-1179), placita, i.e., court hearings, were held in Bruckberg. In 1120, a Miginhart von Bruckberg is mentioned. The noble family of Bruckberg demonstrably begins around 1130 with Friedrich and his son Konrad, both of whom were in the retinue of the Count Palatine of Wittelsbach and the Counts of Moosburg. In documents, both appear with their signatures after an Albero von Boxberg.
The Bruckberg line for the seat in Bruckberg can be assumed to have died out around 1343.
