Bürg Castle is a structure located in Neuenstadt am Kocher-Bürg in the Heilbronn district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It features Late Gothic architecture and a history of ownership by the Barons of Gemmingen.

History+

The origins of Bürg date back to the 11th century, when the Lords of Gosheim built a castle here. From 1334, the complex was under joint ownership, involving various noble families, including the Lords of Gemmingen. In 1456, the Lords of Gemmingen gained sole possession and settled court people, thus founding the village of Bürg. They exercised local rule there until 1806.
