Cadenberge Castle

To be privately owned

Cadenberge Castle is in the Cuxhaven district in Lower Saxony.

History+

The origins of the manor house date back to the early 18th century. Between 1724 and 1752, the two-story brick building was constructed. It is characterized by a dwarf gable and a hip roof crowned by an octagonal wooden roof turret. The estate is part of the Gräflich Bremerscher Castle and Estate Park, which was restored to its historic form at the end of 2008 and placed under monument protection. The ensemble also includes a dovecote and a collection of rare trees. A circular hiking trail leads from the park through the Freesenmoor to the Wingst.

On site+

Cadenberge Castle is privately owned and not publicly accessible. The associated castle park, which is a protected monument, has been reconstructed to its historical form and houses rare trees as well as a dovecote.
