Dalheim Castle

The oldest written mention dates back to the year 836, where a connection between the Dalheim manor and the royal estate in Rösebeck is mentioned. It is presumed that the knight's seat is as old as Dalheim. The knightly family of Dalheim was resident there, which also gave the settlement its name. This lower noble family was related to the Warburg councilor family Busse, to whom the knight's seat belonged until 1423. Afterwards, the Warburg burgmann family von Steinheim owned the Dalheim estate. During the Thirty Years' War, the estate fell to the Spiegel zum Desenberg family, who built the local castle in 1698. The von Spiegel family sold the estate to the Vittighoff-Schell family, and it was later leased and divided.

Since 1961, the establishment has been owned by the Albersmeier family, who expanded it for boarding horses, training, and tournament presentations.
