In Dilbeek, Flanders, De Viron Castle stands as an example of Tudor-style architecture in Belgium. Built upon the foundations of a medieval fortress, it currently serves as the seat for local authorities.
History+
The origins of the current castle date back to the 14th century, when a fortress occupied this site. In 1863, the present De Viron Castle was constructed on these ruins. Architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar designed the edifice in the Tudor style for the de Viron family.
