Deutenhofen Castle

The castle was built before 1341. In the 16th century, it was rebuilt into largely its current form by the Reitmor family. In 1625, ownership changed to the Barons of Mandl. In 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, the castle was burned down by Swedish troops under Duke Bernhard of Saxe-Weimar and rebuilt by the Barons of Mandl. In 1834, ownership changed to the Counts of Spreti. After the Second World War, the castle served as an auxiliary hospital and since 1970 it has been part of a nursing home of the Bavarian Red Cross.
