Schloss Dieprahm was built around 1300. Once, the brothers Johan and Evert Dippramme, who gave the house its name, lived here. Little is known from the history of the small castle, which is now privately owned.
Napoleon, according to tradition, is said to have stopped here on his flight to Paris after separating from his army in Russia. Disguised as the Duke of Vincenza, with only one companion beside him, he is said to have arrived in an open sleigh in the castle courtyard on a cold December day in 1812 and taken up his night's quarters in the ground-floor tower room. Since then, this tower has been called "Napoleon's Tower."
Since 1982, the former knight's seat, today's Haus Dieprahm, has been a protected monument.
