In Donzdorf stands the castle of the same name, a Renaissance building. Originally constructed in the 16th century, it now serves as an administrative center and houses a restaurant.

History+

The construction of Donzdorf Castle took place in 1568 at the behest of Hans von Rechberg zu Hohenrechberg. The original structure presented itself as a three-story Renaissance building, flanked by four octagonal towers. Between 1764 and 1765, a baroque garden was laid out south of the castle, which was later transformed into an English landscape garden at the beginning of the 19th century.
