Dornegg Castle

History+
The castle is documented in 1244 as the seat of the Racknitzer family, in whose possession it remained until 1629. From 1721 it was rebuilt, a no longer existing clock tower was dated 1745. It is a uniform late Baroque three-wing building with Vauban towers. At the location of the 4th wing stands the entrance gate with a round gable. Two further symmetrically arranged buildings to the west of the residential building are used as utility buildings.
