Doubrava Castle

Restaurant

Doubrava Castle, also known as Grün, is a historic building in the Czech Republic that today serves as a restaurant. Originally a manor house, it was transformed into a Neo-Gothic castle.

History+

The origins of Doubrava Castle date back to the early 17th century, when the von Zedtwitz family acquired the manor. Initially, the estate was an agricultural property. In 1783, a reconstruction took place, giving the castle its Neo-Gothic character. A detail is the coat of arms above the entrance, bearing the year 1760 and originally from the nearby Kopaniny Castle. After the end of World War II in 1945, the then German owners were dispossessed.
