History+

The first documented mention of Drasing Castle occurred in 1284 and 1362, although it is presumed that its origins even date back to the Carolingian period as an outer bailey of the Moosburg Palatinate. From 1492 to 1640, the estate was owned by the Feulner family. In the mid-19th century, specifically 1842/1843, the castle was renovated under Thaddäus Lanner, and the tower on the southeast corner was raised.
