History+
The origins of Eckendorf Castle date back to 1630, when Arnold Schierheim began construction of the north wing. The pavilion tower at the southeast corner, crowned by a roof turret, also originated in this early construction phase. In 1776, the estate underwent an expansion with the erection of the east wing in the style of Classicism. The farm buildings, located across the road, were only rebuilt in the late 19th century after a fire.
