Eichelsdorf Castle
The former Eichelsdorf Monastery is a historic building in the Eichelsdorf district of Hofheim in Lower Franconia.
The original moated castle was expanded into a moated palace during the Renaissance period. For over 130 years, it was used as St. Alphonsus Monastery by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Redeemer in Würzburg.
In 2008, the therapeutic institution of the Baden-Württemberg State Association for Prevention and Rehabilitation gGmbH (bw lv) acquired the complex and renovated it. Since January 2010, the former monastery has been operated as a rehabilitation center under the name Fachklinik Schloss Eichelsdorf. Previously, the therapy center was located in the nearby Bettenburg Castle.
