Eislingen Castle

The origins of Eislingen Castle date back to 1765, when Baron Constantin Adolph von Welden acquired the knightly estate of Großeislingen. He had a two-story summer house with a mansard roof, as well as outbuildings and a park, built there. After his death in 1772, his son sold the property to the Count of Eybach, whose family owned it until 1918. Already in the 18th century, structural damage occurred, with the half-timbering rotting and being replaced by solid walls in 1779, as well as being extended by one floor. Further renovation took place at the beginning of the 19th century. The construction of a railway line in 1846, which crossed the count's property, increasingly affected the estate.
