Emersleben Castle
Emersleben Castle, originally a fortified complex, is located in the Emersleben district of the city of Halberstadt. Significant parts of the former defensive structure are still preserved today.
The first documented mention of Emersleben Castle dates back to 1248. In 1253, the complex came into the possession of Corvey Monastery.
Emersleben Castle is situated in Emersleben, a district of Halberstadt, in the Harz district of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The complex is located at an elevation of approximately 89 meters above sea level.
Visitors can still see a five-story keep, a late Gothic residential building with a stair tower, and remnants of the original curtain wall. The former castle currently houses a restaurant.
