Entenfang Castle

The origins of Schloss Entenfang date back to at least before 1735. It served the Cologne provosts of St. Gereon, who owned property in Berzdorf, as a hunting lodge, particularly for duck hunting. After secularization, the estate was threatened with decay around 1797 but was restored by the Breuer family from Berzdorf, who leased the domain. The restored building was two-storied with five window axes and a hip roof. Around 1900, it was converted into a manor house, extended to the east, and adorned with Baroque-style turrets, bay windows, and a grand staircase. A terrace structure was also added.
