In the municipality of Eschbach, Eschbach Castle stands as a three-story manor house. Its architectural details make it a testament to past times in the Breisgau region.

History+

The origins of Eschbach Castle date back to the 13th century when the building was constructed. An expansion took place in 1484. In 1525, it belonged to the Lords of Pfirt, before passing to the von Stadion family in 1594. From 1769, the castle was owned by the municipality of Eschbach. An unusual use began in 1795 when it served as an inn under the name “Zum Löwen”.
