Fahrenbühl Castle

Hotel

Fahrenbühl Hunting Lodge is hidden in a large forest area between the Großer and Kleiner Kornberg near Dörflas in the municipality of Kirchenlamitz.

The settlement of Fahrenbühl belonged to the Schwarzenbach an der Saale castle estate, which had been in the hands of the Counts and later Princes of Schönburg since 1706. After the fire at Bug Castle near Weißdorf, Prince Karl Ernst von Schönburg-Waldenburg (1836 - 1915) built a simple hunting lodge in Fahrenbühl in 1886, where he and his family enjoyed spending the summer months. Today, Fahrenbühl Hunting Lodge serves as a hotel.
