A predecessor building is already mentioned in the 13th century. From 1742-47, the castle was built by the Barons of Feilitzsch.

The Builder+

The builder was Friedrich Wilhelm von Feilitzsch (1686-1760), who served as a privy councillor and district administrator in the Principality of Kulmbach-Bayreuth.
