Fischbach Castle

The construction of Fischbach Castle began in 1587 under Christoph von Wangenheim. Its completion and occupation took in 1639 by his son, Hans Ludwig von Wangenheim, who served as the ducal chief forester and master huntsman. The castle is distinguished by details, including the main door, various room doors, and stucco ceilings in the formerly hall-like rooms, some of which are now divided. Since 1992, the half-timbered building has served as the seat of the Emsetal municipal administration. Construction and reconstruction measures were carried out between 1993 and 1998.
