An outwork in Berggiesshübel is already mentioned in 1452. At the beginning of the 18th century, Johann Ludwig Tüllmann built the castle. After this, ownership passed to Count Kaisersmark and later to Count Pötting, who had the current castle built on the walls of the previous building.
