Fullerö Castle
Fullerö Castle is an estate near Västerås. It was likely designed and built by Jean de la Vallée and was once owned by King Gustav Vasa.
History+
The castle was at one point owned by King Gustav Vasa. The current main building, originally made of wood, was constructed in 1656 under the patronage of Chancellor Erik Axelsson Oxenstierna. A restoration took place in 1859. Carl Johan Cronstedt enriched the castle with an art collection, which included works by sculptors Johan Tobias Sergel and Jacques-Philippe Bouchardon.
