History+

The origins of Gebelzig Castle date back to the 14th century. The building acquired its current appearance through redesigns in 1911 and 1912. These works were stylistically oriented towards the castles of Milkel and Moritzburg. During the GDR era, the castle served as the Karl-Liebknecht-Oberschule and was subsequently used as the "Grundschule Hohendubrau" after 1993. This primary school later expanded its offerings to include full-day care.
