Geltolfing Castle is a four-winged moated castle complex with two stories and an inner courtyard, located in the district of Straubing-Bogen.

History+

The origins of today's Geltolfing Castle date back to the late 16th century. Between 1595 and 1598, the complex was newly constructed. In the 18th century, the building underwent a transformation when it was reshaped in the Baroque style in 1776 and 1780, giving it its current appearance.

Geltolfing Castle is a closed complex. Access is via a round-arched bridge that leads over the moats to the entrance gate at the western corner. The castle is privately owned and not accessible to the public.
