Geyerswörth Castle is a historic city palace in the old town of Bamberg. Originally built by the Geyer family from Nuremberg, it later served as an episcopal residence.

History+

The origins of Geyerswörth Castle date back to the 14th century, when the Nuremberg family Geyer had the complex built in Bamberg. In 1580, the property came into the possession of the Prince-Bishopric of Bamberg. Prince-Bishop Johann Georg I. Zobel von Giebelstadt had a park laid out south of the castle, of which only the gardener's house remains today.
