Gnadenthal Castle, a Neoclassical castle complex, is located in the Donsbrüggen district of Kleve, North Rhine-Westphalia. The structure, surrounded by an English landscape garden, is now a foundation and serves as a hotel.

History+

In the Middle Ages, a manor house stood on the site of the present castle, which was used as a monastery by Augustinian canons in the 15th and 16th centuries. During the Eighty Years' War, the monastery was destroyed. At the beginning of the 18th century, Johann Moritz von Blaspiel had a Baroque castle with gardens built on the former monastery grounds.
