Grabow Castle

The former manor house of the von Wulffen family stands in the south of the village on the grounds of the old moated castle. The original building from 1713 was significantly altered in its appearance in 1901. It is a stately two-story Baroque building, structured by twelve window axes. Two window sections each are separated by pilasters. The south facade is equipped with an outdoor staircase. The east gable extends about five meters beyond the south facade, forming a separate wing. The main building and the east wing are each covered with a mansard hip roof. On the castle grounds, remnants of the fieldstone curtain wall of the medieval moated castle are still present.

On May 5, 1945, the Red Army marched into Grabow, and the last estate tenant, Dr. Hans-Olof von Rohr, a grandson of Lindequist, fled to Lower Saxony. The Soviet soldiers confiscated the livestock and machinery and left the manor house devastated. With the land reform ordered in 1945, the estate's land was divided and distributed to new farmers.
