Grafenstock Castle in the Bavarian town of Erding now serves as the town hall.

History+

The construction of Grafenstock Castle was initiated by Johann Warmund Freiherr von Preysing-Moos, who commissioned its building between 1567 and 1648. Through marriage, the estate later came into the possession of the Counts of Seinsheim. In 1797, the castle passed into civilian hands before being acquired by the town of Erding in 1825. From 1866, it officially served as the “New Town Hall.” The portals and coats of arms visible today were added in 1912.
