Gram Castle
In Gram, Southern Denmark, stands Gram Castle, a structure dating back to a medieval moated castle. It is situated on a courtyard island in a dammed pond.
History+
The origins of Gram Castle can be traced back to a royal estate in the Middle Ages. Around 1470, the property passed into the possession of the Reventlow family, who expanded it into one of the largest estates in the region. In 1664, Imperial Field Marshal Hans von Schack acquired the complex for 14,000 Reichstalers. The castle remained in the possession of the Schack family until it was acquired by the Brodersen family in 2007, who converted the estate to organic farming.

Gram Castle houses a museum. The castle grounds also feature a farm shop and holiday apartments.
