Großrußbach Castle

The castle in Großrußbach, located below the parish church, is a staggered two-story four-wing complex, which was created in 1980/1981 by adding two further wings to the two-wing complex of the former rectory, which dates back to the 15th/16th century and was baroqueized in 1739. The castle is connected by a baroque wall and portal system with a two-story two-wing building from 1948–1953. On the southwest wing, which originated from the pre-baroque core building, a meander sgraffito decoration from the second half of the 16th century was uncovered in 1980.
