Grünenfurt Castle is a country estate located in the Grünenfurt district of Memmingen, a city in Upper Swabia, Bavaria. Surrounded by an English landscape garden, the complex features late Baroque architecture.

History+

The origins of Grünenfurt Castle lie in a fortified country seat from the Renaissance, likely built by a noble family from Amendingen. In the 16th century, it was owned by the Lords of Freyberg before passing to Eitel Neubronner in 1608. After several changes of ownership, Johann von Scheidlin from Augsburg acquired the property in 1737.
