Gunnebo Castle
In the northeastern part of the Swedish municipality of Mölndal is Gunnebo House, a wooden manor. Originally conceived as a summer residence, it offers architecture and a park.
History+
The origins of the estate can be traced back to the late 14th century, when a large farm with an accompanying mill, known as Gunnebodher or Gunneobodhum, existed on this site. The farm was owned by the Crown or the Church. The current manor house was commissioned in 1778 by the merchant John Häll the Elder as a summer home.

Gunnebo House is situated in Mölndal, within the municipality of Mölndal in the Västra Götaland region, Sweden. It lies at an elevation of approximately 58 meters above sea level.

Visitors can explore the manor house through guided tours. The manor park is open to the public. Many of the original designs by the architect Carl Wilhelm Carlberg are now exhibited at the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg.
