In Siegburg in the Rhein-Sieg district, North Rhine-Westphalia, is Haus zur Mühlen Castle, a tuff stone mill complex with towers. Its history dates back to the early 14th century and is linked to regional noble and ecclesiastical history.

The first documented mention of the estate dates back to 1312, when it was owned by Michaelsberg Abbey. Until approximately 1806, Haus zur Mühlen was privileged with a seat in the Bergisch Landtag and was admitted to the Rhenish provincial estates as a manor in the 19th century. In 1369, Knight Johann von Attenbach received the milling rights from the Duke of Berg for the judicial district of Wolsdorf and surrounding villages.
