Hemmersdorf Castle is a historic estate in the municipality of Rehlingen-Siersburg-Hemmersdorf, Saarland.
History+
The first documented mention of Hemmersdorf Castle dates back to 1150, when it was owned by the family of Hymmersdorf. In 1450, the fief passed into the possession of the Bechel family. Later, in 1589, Johann Zandt von Merl took over the estate. Another change occurred in 1719, when Franz Duhan, who later became Count Duhan, acquired rights and properties of the castle.
