Hemsbach Castle now serves as the town hall for the municipality of Hemsbach. Originally built as a villa, it was expanded and remodeled before assuming its current public function.
History+
The origins of the current Hemsbach Castle trace back to a villa constructed in 1764 by Blesen, a Palatinate hunting councilor. In 1839, Karl Mayer von Rothschild acquired the property and initiated expansions. Since 1925, the building has been owned by the municipality of Hemsbach and has been used as its town hall ever since.
