Geschichte+
Die Anfänge als Rittergut
Heyda was an independent knight's estate in 1534, owned by the von Schleinitz family. In 1698, the present-day castle was built by the Lords of Leipzig and Berbisdorf. In 1806, ownership transferred to Georg Adolf von Hartitzsch. From 1896-97, the castle was rebuilt under the Lords of Carlowitz-Hartitzsch. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Since 2003, the castle has been used as a residential building.
