Hinterndobl Castle is a small castle situated on a hill in Dorf an der Pram-Hinterndobl in Upper Austria, Austria.

History+

Hinterndobl Castle was first documented in 1560, when Leonhard Puchner, caretaker of Erlach, was named as its owner. He secured the elevation of the estate to a noble seat. His daughter Maria received Hinterndobl in 1570 as a dowry upon her marriage to Hans Christian Wiellinger. From this marriage emerged Achaz Wiellinger, a peasant leader who was executed in Linz in 1627. The castle remained in the family's possession, as his son Johann Ernst converted to the Catholic faith. In 1731, the property passed to Johann Ludwig von Gablkoven through the marriage of Maria Eleonora Wiellinger.
