Hochdorf Castle
Hochdorf Castle is a Baroque country castle in Hochdorf, a district of the municipality of Eberdingen in the Ludwigsburg district.
After Philipp Heinrich von Tessin acquired Hochdorf from the Lords of Münchingen in 1709, he had a country castle built on the southern edge of the town in 1710, along with a castle garden covering over 1.5 hectares. Together with the castle church (today's St. Martin's Church) and the former sheepfold, the castle forms a kind of courtyard of honor. The castle originally included several farm and administrative buildings, most of which are located near the castle.
The former sheepfold, the former stables, and the granary are now used as a gallery, art courtyard, and studio.
