Built as a manor in the 11th century, Schloss Höch now defines the landscape near St. Johann im Pongau in Salzburg, Austria, and serves as a venue for cultural events. The Renaissance-style edifice is at an elevation of approximately 977 meters above sea level at the entrance to the Flachau Valley.

The origins of Schloss Höch date back to the 11th century when it was constructed as a manor. From the 13th century onwards, the owners of the castle are documented, although its exact identity with the historically mentioned manor Hohenvelde remains uncertain. In 1608, the castle changed hands when it was sold by the Kölderer family to the industrialist Karl Jocher.
