In Edegem, Flanders, stands Hof ter Linden Castle, a classical building whose origins date back to the early 15th century. It is distinguished by its architecture and a lime tree avenue that connects it with the Sint-Antoniuskerk.

History+

The first documented mention of Hof ter Linden Castle dates back to the beginning of the 15th century. Towards the end of the 16th century, specifically in 1587 and 1588, the complex was destroyed by Irish soldiers. Reconstruction began in 1607. In 1725, the estate was transformed into a "Hof van Plaisantie," a pleasure court. The castle received its current classical facade between 1770 and 1773.
