Horneburg Castle, an estate in Lower Saxony, has undergone architectural transformations. Originally conceived as a hall house, it was later redesigned into a manor house and is now privately owned.

History+

The origins of the current Horneburg Castle date back to 1840, when it appeared as a seven-bay Lower Saxon hall house. In 1886, the building underwent renovation: it was converted into a two-story manor house in the historicist Tudor style. The ensemble is complemented by a three-story brick tower attached to the south.
