Horst Castle (Mönchengladbach)
In the Giesenkirchen district of Mönchengladbach, Schloss Horst, a moated castle, is known as the original ancestral seat of the Lords of Horst. Although its origins date back further, a 19th-century renovation shaped its current appearance.
The estate once served as the ancestral home of the family of Horst. In 1853, the castle underwent renovations, which altered its architectural image.
Schloss Horst is situated in Mönchengladbach, within the district of the same name in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It stands at an elevation of approximately 52 meters above sea level.
Today, Schloss Horst houses a private clinic specializing in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychosomatics, which has been located there since 1988.
