Hue de Grais Castle (Wolkramshausen)

The castle was built in 1720 on the foundations of an older complex by Walrad Ludwig von Wilcke. As early as 1752, reconstruction work began by Wilhelm Ludwig von Wilcke, and in 1764, a library was added. In 1826, Achill Graf Hue de Grais acquired the property. After the death of Elsa Gräfin Hue de Grais, the castle stood empty until 1990. Subsequently, initial renovation work began by the German Foundation for Monument Protection. After its return to the Hue de Grais community of heirs in 1997, extensive renovation work was carried out.
